ABOUT REBECCA M. GROTHAUS

More Than Just an Attorney

Rebecca Grothaus is a native Houstonian raised in Katy, Texas. Rebecca is a graduate of Katy High School and attended Texas State University, receiving her BA in History and Political Science, summa cum laude.  She served as legislative aide to Chairman Bill Callegari in the Texas House of Representatives for two years before attending Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where she received her JD.  Rebecca interned as law clerk to Justice K. FitzGerald in the Fifth District Court of Appeals at Dallas and defended children in child abuse and neglect cases in North Texas as Attorney/Guardian Ad Litem at the W. W. Caruth, Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic.


Rebecca is admitted to the Texas State Bar and is an active member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Fort Bend County Bar Association, Fort Bend County Criminal Defense Attorneys Association, and Houston Young Lawyers Association. 


Rebecca is a criminal defense attorney who understands that facing a criminal charge can be one of the most stressful events in a person’s life. She has helped clients facing an array of criminal charges in Fort Bend, Harris, and surrounding counties, and is ready to use her knowledge to fight on your behalf.

Rebecca is the oldest of seven children and happily married. When not practicing law, she can be found spending time with her large family around Houston and Katy.
